DWM Model 1906 American Eagle Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol, #35441, .30 Luger cal., 4.75'' barrel, rust blued finish, straw-colored small parts, checkered walnut grips, dovetailed blade front sight and fixed small ''V'' notch rear sight, with grip safety. Includes one period unmarked magazine with wood base. Pistol is marked ''DWM'' on the toggle with an ''(American Eagle)'' above the chamber. Upper safety position is unmarked, lower position is polished. Front of the frame, below the serial number is marked ''GERMANY''. Left side of the receiver with ''(crown)B'' and ''(crown)U'' proofs. Underside of the barrel with ''(crown)B'', ''(crown)U'', ''(crown)G'' proofs; as well as a small circled ''B'' proof. All visible numbers matching, except for the grips; firing pin is not numbered. Condition is excellent as professionally restored, with the barrel serial number having been restamped. Approx. 96%-97% blue remains, showing mild thinning near the muzzle. ''(crown)G'' proof on bottom of the barrel is partially gone; other factory lettering, American Eagle emblem, and numbering is clear. Straw colors are strong, approx. 95% remain+. There is a circular impression along the back edge of the left grip; checkering is sharp and bluing on the grip screws is bright. Action functions smoothly but the hold open does not work with this magazine. Bore rates near excellent overall with well-defined rifling. Bore shows typical light age and wear. Additionally, there are two small spots of cleaned pitting on the right side. Overall, a very nice looking 1906 American Eagle. Est.: $2,000-$2,500. (C&R/PPT)
